I have to get some running in today or I am going to be an entire week behind schedule. Grabbing a leash for Bruiser, I pull up the playlist I run to and we head to the beach. The weather is perfect for running. Despite my mind going in several directions, I’m finally able to set a pace. I let Bruiser off his leash. He enjoys running into the water and chasing birds as they flit across the sand.

I received a text from Colleen earlier telling me that Graham had contacted her about my services. She didn’t correct him or accept his offer. She wanted to go in the direction I sent her. I know that I need to correct him, but it ruffles my feathers that I even have to. On the one hand, Graham already feels comfortable to me. Familiar. On the other, he still thinks I sleep around for money. Guess we still have some things to learn about each other.

One thing I know is that he’s a contradiction. He’s soft and tender with me one minute and dominating and harsh the next. If I’m being honest, I must say I like both sides. Who would have thought? I’m usually so strong minded and self-sufficient, but I do like giving over some control to him. But I am certainly not telling him that.

Bruiser and I hit mile six. I take a minute to give him some water from my bottle and a chance to cool off. We turn and head back to the house. We’re only a couple of miles away when we see Graham coming our way.

“You getting a run in?” I ask, breathlessly pulling out my earbuds and taking a swig of water, pouring a little more for Bruiser. “Good boy,” I praise him. Standing I look at Graham for his answer. He’s wearing gym shorts and no shirt. I could work out for hours each day and still not look like he does. The definition in his muscles is remarkable.

“Thought I would see if you want some company,” he laughs. He’s caught me checking him out.

His laugh is attached directly to my sex. It must be because it shows a side that so few get to see. He seems reserved and guarded except for times like this spent with his family. There’s a part of me that loves the fact he shows this side of himself to me. I wonder what he has been like with his previous girlfriends.

“Bruiser is keeping me company, but I would love some more. I was headed back towards the house. Is that okay or do you want to run some more?”

“I’m good. Let’s head back.” We start the last few miles back to the house at a leisurely pace, neither speaking for several minutes. He rubs his hand over my ass. “I don’t think I’ll ever have my fill of you.” He gives it a slap and then grabs my hand, slowing us to a walk.

“Well, you’re gonna. Because I’m not having sex with you on the beach,” I announce like that is his intention.
